Happy Fall!
Hello, lovely readers! It’s been a little while since my last post in late August, where I opened up about being stuck in a writer’s block. I don’t want you to think I’ve fallen off the map—sometimes, we just need a moment to recharge and find our footing again. I am happy to say I have been having lots of fun and just living life one day at a time! On Sunday I decided I would set out all of my fall decor (YAY)! After the pumpkin candle was lit I felt like getting cozy and writing. Of course—I couldn't get into anything, and everything I was writing felt like something I've done already.
Recently (today in the parking lot of Fan Tang)((SHOUT OUT Fan Tang—so so YUMMY)), I cracked open a fortune cookie that caught my attention. It read, "May the rainbow always touch your shoulder." At first, it seemed like just another sweet, cryptic message. I also immediately thought, "okay universe—may I remain gay?" Gave me a great laugh! But the more I thought about the fortune, the more profound it became.
To me, this fortune serves as a reminder that even amidst life’s storms, there’s beauty to be found. The rainbow symbolizes hope and the promise of brighter days ahead. It suggests that while challenges may be present, there’s always a silver lining waiting to shine through. Embracing this mindset can help us navigate through difficult times, allowing us to find joy in the little things, even when the world feels heavy.
As we transition into this lovely season, the crisp nights and mornings are finally here. There’s a certain coziness in the air that wraps around us like a warm blanket. It’s in this atmosphere that I’m finding my writing groove again. The gentle whisper of autumn inspires me, nudging me to pick up my "pen" and create.
So, dear readers, as we embrace the changing season, let’s keep that fortune close to our hearts. May we always carry the colors of hope and beauty with us, even in our darkest moments. Here’s to finding inspiration and reconnecting, no matter the weather.
Happy writing, and may your own rainbows always touch your shoulder!
XOXO
